4 February 2019, Chişinău – State Secretary, Daniela Morari, attended the opening ceremony of the third Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) Orientation Course. The event is organised by the European Security and Defence College, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of Austria and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova.
State Secretary addressed an introductory speech and highlighted the increased number of educational events organised in the field of CSDP as a key element for strengthening cooperation between the Eastern Partnership countries and the European Union.
The event will serve as a platform for facilitating the exchange of views and experiences between representatives from the European Union Member States and the Eastern Partnership countries on current security and defence related topics, such as participation in the EU crisis management missions, strategic communication, etc.
The CSDP Orientation Course is being conducted in Chişinău in the period of 4-8 February 2019 and it is part of the work programme of the Eastern Partnership panel on Security, CSDP and Civil Protection within the Multilateral Platform 1 “Strengthening institutions and governance”. Around 50 experts from the EU and the Eastern Partnership countries participate in the course.
