July 14, 2020, Chișinău - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova is following with concern the events on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, where in recent days there have been armed clashes, resulting in losses of human lives.

The MFAEI expresses its condolences to the families of the fallen and calls upon the parties involved to refrain from the use of force, to continue their sustained efforts to avoid escalating the situation and to identify a lasting political solution based on respect for the principles and rules of international law.

The Republic of Moldova advocates for the peaceful settlement of the conflict situation based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognised borders.
