The visit to the MFAEI of the AJC representative

June 20, Chişinău – State Secretary Tatiana Molcean had a meeting with the representative of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), Samuel Kliger, during his working visit to our country.

During the discussion, the interlocutors exchanged views on issues related to the development of the bilateral cooperation of the Republic of Moldova with the United States of America and the State of Israel, the collaboration within the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, the relations with the American Jewish Committee and other relevant organizations etc.

Tatiana Molcean highlighted the progress made in the accomplishing of the Action Plan on the implementation of the Parliament decision regarding the approval of the report of the International Commission on the Holocaust, chaired by Elie Wiesel, in particular, on Holocaust Remembrance, combating anti-Semitism and intolerance. The State Secretary thanked the international partners, especially AJC and USA, for the valuable support offered to our country in the achievement of the objectives assumed.

Samuel Kliger mentioned the positive dynamic in the development of the Moldovan-American relations and the implementation of the reform agenda provided by the Association Agreement with the EU. The AJC representative has appreciated the efforts made by the Republic of Moldova in promoting the objectives pursued, including within IHRA, reiterating his availability to further support our country.

Samuel Kliger has previously made a similar visit to the Republic of Moldova, in June 2017.
