Minister Tudor Ulianovschi participates in the Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe
17 May, Elsinore (Denmark) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, participates in the 128th Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, taking place during 17-18 May 2018 in Elsinore, Denmark.

Issues on the state of democracy, human rights and rule of law in Europe as well as challenges faced by the Organization will be discussed. Minister Tudor Ulianovschi will present the latest developments in the Republic of Moldova in the field of human rights protection and rule of law, encouraging the attention of the Council of Europe to human rights violations in the Transnistrian region, particularly regarding the situation of Latin script schools (enforcement of ECHR judgment in Catan case).

The agenda of the Head of Moldovan diplomacy includes bilateral meetings with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland, counterparts from Norway, Croatia, Cyprus and other countries.

At the end of the session, Minister Tudor Ulianovschi shall attend the takeover of chairmanship by Croatia ceremony, held in the past six months by Denmark.
