 Strengthening Moldova-Norway relations, discussed by the two ministers of foreign affairs

 May 18th , Elsinore (Denmark) – Strengthening bilateral relationship between the Republic of Moldova and Norway, as well as cooperation within international organizations, including the Council of Europe, discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, and his Norwegian counterpart Ine Eriksen Søreide. The meeting took place on the margins of the 128th Session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, in Elsinore, Denmark.

Cooperation between two countries within the Council of Europe, in particular the substitution of the NORLAM-mission through the assistance in the field of justice, worth 3.4 M euros, in implementing the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2017-2020.

Tudor Ulianovschi and Ine Eriksen Søreide discussed a wide range of items related to the bilateral relationship, European and regional security, initiating a cooperation in the field of research and education, environment and water basins sanitation technologies, as well as waste recycling.

Minister Ulianovschi thanked his Norwegian counterpart for the support granted by the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Moldova, both political and as technical assistance.
