Participation of the State Secretary Daniela Morari to the workshop on enhancing Republic of Moldova’s capacity in CSDP
On December 11, 2017, state secretary Daniela Morari attended the workshop “Enhancing Moldova’s capacity to contribute to the EU’s CSPD Civilian Missions” organized by the NATO information Center in Chişinău and the HIQSTEP project “Consolidation of Inter-Institutional Cooperation and Communication Mechanism on CSDP-Related Matters. Case Study: Georgia and the Republic of Moldova”. The round table has brought together representatives of relevant national institutions as well as of EU embassies.

At the beginning of the event, the Moldovan state secretary stated the interest of the country to develop the cooperation with the EU on matters related to the Foreign and Security Policy dimension, including the participation in EU crisis management missions, as well as in the field of countering hybrid threats and consolidating state resilience. Daniela Morari also stressed the importance of organizing such events for strengthening the institutional capacities of the Republic of Moldova and maintaining a continuous dialogue with external partners on possible areas of assistance.

During the event the leader of the HIQSTEP team, George Niculescu presented the results of the study, including a list of measures for improving inter-institutional cooperation, strategic communication and the consolidation of the legal framework in the fields of defence and security.
