Minister Andrei Galbur attended the special session of GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Andrei Galbur, participated on 8 October 2017, at the special session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, which was held in Tbilisi.  

At the meeting, held under the Chairmanship-in-Office of Georgia, was held a restricted format reunion of the ministers of four member states, with the participation of the Secretary General of the Organization, and an enlarged Council’s meeting, with the participation of all members of the delegations.

The Chairman-in-Office proposed to discuss a list of priorities that would determine further developments within the GUAM. These include, in particular, the cooperation in the sphere of economy, trade, culture and tourism. The Council’s members expressed their attachment to the principles and values set out both in the statutory documents of the Organization and over past 20 years of the cooperation.   

At the end of the meeting, the GUAM Foreign Ministers signed a joint statement.
