Foreign Minister Andrei Galbur had a meeting with his Luxembourg counterpart, Jean Asselborn
The Deputy Prime-minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Andrei Galbur, met today, 11 September 2017, with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, on a working visit to Chisinau.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed the full spectrum of the bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and Luxembourg, which are celebrating this year the 25th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations. In this context, the interlocutors reconfirmed the mutual commitment to promoting political dialogue, enhancing trade and economic exchanges, deepening cooperation within the international organizations and strengthening the bilateral legal framework.

The Head of Moldovan diplomacy expressed gratitude to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for the political support offered to our country within the European institutions and other international organizations, as well as for the financial and humanitarian assistance in carrying out various projects.

The dignitaries exchanged views on the implementation by the Republic of Moldova of the Association Agreement’s provisions, the prospects for advancing cooperation on various sectoral levels, as well as the cooperation in the Eastern Partnership. Minister Jean Asselborn reconfirmed his country's readiness to fully support the reform process in the Republic of Moldova. A particular attention was given to the talks on the Transnistrian dossier.
