Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur had a meeting with the Slovak counterpart

On the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum (Slovenia), Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Andrei Galbur had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajčák.

Minister Galbur expressed gratitude for the constant support offered by the Slovak Republic in the process of modernization of the Republic of Moldova, especially for development assistance provided in this respect.

One of the issues discussed was related to regional and international developments and some priorities were identified  for collaboration within international forums. The head of the Moldovan diplomacy congratulated the Slovak counterpart on the occasion of his election as President of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, stressing that Moldova supports the President's priorities and will work efficiently to achieve these goals.

In this regard, the Minister presented arguments which were the basis of the Republic of Moldova request to include in the agenda of the 72nd session the subject dedicated to withdrawal of Russian military troops from the territory of the Republic of Moldova. Minister Galbur expressed hope that this step will allow the examination in a constructive manner, under the auspices of the United Nations, of the question of illegally stationing of Russian troops on the territory of the country in the last 25 years.
