Meeting of ministers of foreign affairs from Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership

Today, 31st of August 2017 in Budapesta, deputy minister of foreign affairs and European integration Daniela Morari, represented the Republic of Moldova at the working meeting of ministers of foreign affairs from Visegrad Group (V4) and Eastern Partnership (EaP), attended also by Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, representatives of the European External Action Service and Estonian Presidency at the Council of EU.

Discussions focused on key objectives of EaP ahead of the November Summit and perspectives of deepening relations with European Union in the next years. Besides sectoral priorities identified within the 20 deliverables of EaP by 2020, the necessity of a visionary approach towards political perspectives and European integration aspirations of EaP countries, especially of those associated with European Union was reiterated.

Likewise, the importance of boosting the visibility of EaP activities and concentrating on measures that have a direct impact on citizens was highlighted.

As well, were discussed issues related to the development of cooperation in the energy sector.

During the press conference, deputy minister Daniela Morari underlined the importance of the V4+EaP cooperation format for the success of Moldova’s efforts on the European integration path.
