On August 28, 2008, Mr. Andrei Stratan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova met with Mr. Edward Apau Mantey, the Ambassador of Ghana to the Republic of Moldova as a part of his working visit to Chisinau.
In the course of the meeting, the parties have agreed onto the need to further enhancement of the bilateral relations between Moldova and Ghana in the most various areas, by means of diversification and intensification of the specific cooperation in the fields of the mutual interest, particularly economy, trade and culture, with a special focus on extension of the legal base of the bilateral relations.
As well, during the meeting, recent developments of the international agenda have been discussed, a special attention being paid to the multilateral aspect of the Moldova—Ghana cooperation and their mutual support within various international organizations.
The Republic of Moldova and Ghana have established the diplomatic relations on 28 August 2008.
