Accreditation procedure for foreign journalists in the Republic of Moldova
The accreditation of foreign journalists is performed in accordance with the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova No. 359 from 02.06.95 published in the Monitorul Oficial no. 38-39 of 14.07.1995. In order to visit the Republic of Moldova as a foreign reporter and obtain accreditation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, you have to send to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, by fax (+3732 578302), a request for accreditation (specifying the name, passport data, intended duration of stay) signed by the manager of your media company (newspaper, agency), duly stamped, including registration number. If you are a free-lance, you have to send a certificate from your national professional journalists association, confirmed by an Embassy of your country or your country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After the examination of your request, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova indicated by you will be entitled to issue an entrance visa to Moldova. Upon arrival in Chisinau, foreign journalists are asked to contact Mass-media Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the following address: nr.80, 31 August 1989 str., Chişinău, Tel.(+37322) 578254; tel/fax 578302 e-mail: massmedi@mfa.md The accreditation procedure will be initiated by the applicant after the arrival in Chisinau upon presenting the originals of the documents sent previously by fax, including press-card and passport. The applicant will be requested to fill in the Media Accreditation Form and annex 2 passport-sized photos. The decision in this respect will be taken within 30 days from the date of presentation of papers and will be finalized by issuing an accreditation card. |
