Today, the Representative of the MFAEI of the Republic of Moldova for the period of Slovenian Presidency within the Council of the UE, the Director of the European Integration Department, Mr. Veaceslav DOBÎNDĂ, pays a working visit to Ljubjana, Slovenia.

 

This visit is part of the established framework of consultations in view of coordinating of the realization of the objectives of the bilateral Moldovan-communitarian dialogue and informing the Presidency of the Council of the EU on evolutions of domestic reforms launched within the Moldova-EU cooperation, as well as country’s objectives referring to EU.

 

During the visit various meetings have taken place with the President of the COEST-Capital working group and the Head of the Direction for International Organisations and Human Security, the President of the COSCE working group, in view of continuing the consultations regarding the promotion of discussions of the new legal framework of Moldova-EU relations, as well as the last evolutions concerning the steps undertaken by the Moldovan authorities on the settlement of the transnistrian issue.

 

Also, in order to launch the cooperation programs within the Center for European Perspectives of Ljubljana, various opportunities for implementation were examined in the Republic of Moldova during the 2008 of the assistance projects for the development in the priority fields of the European integration dimension, in accordance with the specialised ministries and autonomous agencies. In this regard, various multisectoriale projects were proposed for examination to the Slovenian side, related to public acquisitions, environment, infrastructure projects, etc.
