Within the process of establishing and launching, in February 2008, of the activity of the Regional Cooperation Council, which will take over the responsibilities and competencies of the Stability Pact for the South Eastern Europe, the following positions for the RCC Secretariat, headquartered in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), have been announced: Head of Administrative Unit; Chief of Staff; Head of the Expert Pool. Eligible applicants include civil servants from national administrations, as well as applicants from the private sector and civil society respectively.
The RCC Secretariat will be headed by the Secretary General of the RCC, whose functions will be to ensure the support for the RCC activity and that of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), as supreme regional forum. The Secretariat will provide also technical, organizational and analytical assistance in the activity of the RCC Secretary General, Annual Meetings and RCC Board as well as, when necessary, operational support in preparing SEECP Ministerial Meetings and Summits. The RCC Secretariat, representing the institutionalized framework of coordination of the activities in the process of regional cooperation in South Eastern Europe, will assume the role of providing information and focal point for the relevant regional activities.
